Despite the clouds and the temperature being a little cold, the rain stayed away for our school cross country held on Wednesday 8th of June. The children ran around a track marked out at the Tihi-o-tonga Tree Trust Centennial park. At the end of their race each child received a goodie bag and a sausage sizzle. A big thank you to Stacey Conning (TPHE Sport Lecturer) and the students from Waiariki Bay of Plenty Polytechnic for organising and co-ordinating the event with Whaea Lorraine for our tamariki. Judging by the smiles in the photos everyone enjoyed the event! Thank you to the parents and whanau who came to support and encourage their tamariki.
